Glasgow-based OneDay40, British Country Music Association award winners, return after a 20-year hiatus with their long-awaited new album Finished Business - The album will be released on LP and Digital formats on 29 May 2026 via Last Night From Glasgow Cartel with lead single out on 13th February 2026. Mastered by Paul McGeechan and manufactured at Seabass Vinyl, Finished Business marks a powerful new chapter for a band whose story has always been defined by unfinished potential.Formed from the embers of original UK country pioneers Evangeline, OneDay40 released their critically acclaimed debut album Unfinished Business in 2007, earning the BCMA Award for Best Album. Early momentum followed, including a Nashville record deal and an offer of a US tour. But as life intervened, the four members gradually drifted apart, placing the band on an extended, unplanned hiatus.Two decades later, lead songwriters John Naismith and Billy Matthews, after whom the band is named (being born just 364 days apart) reconnected in 2022 to compare notes. What began as a casual reconnection quickly evolved into the concept for a new album. Original members George Adams (vocals) and Andy Holmes (drums) soon rejoined the fold, completing the writing team and reigniting the band's creative spark.Reflecting on the journey, Billy Matthews says:"It's been a long old road getting to this point. A lot has changed in the two decades we've been away, and it took time to find our rhythm again. But we got there, and we're absolutely chuffed with the collection of songs we've produced."With Finished Business, OneDay40 close a long-standing chapter while opening another older, wiser, and creatively re-energised, with nothing left unfinished.
